    Russell James is an active professional photographer who is recognized for shooting photos high up in the fashion industry. In his early life he had many careers before becoming a photographer. From being a tradesman to becoming a cop. He tried out many jobs before finding his passion. He was originally from Australia before traveling the world to places like Japan and Sweden. After he found himself living in the United States where he picked up professional photography. He had never actually had any class or professional experience before he begun photography.

    His first photo book was published alongside Heidi Klum which is what put his name on the map. He had released many other books as well as winning the Hasslebald Masters Award in 2007. He has become a huge success working for some of the biggest  designer brands in the world like Hermes, Rolex, Armani and more. James also has shot covers for magazines like Vouge, Sports Illustrated, and GQ. One of his big claim to fames is working closely with the Victoria Secret brand and shooting their fashion shows. He has shot been famous celeberties from Bill Clinton to Scarlett Johanson. Most of his shots are portraits and he loves to shoot black and white photos. He has told interviewers that he try to focus on the face features and help the audience have an emotional connection to the subject. His favorite person he has worked with is supermodel Cindy Crawfard and they are actually good friends behind the scene. With his long running success he was able to participate in cool events like being a judge on next top model and other tv shows. He has also gotten many opportunities to direct films and music videos. He now still works with big brands still and has released books about his photography as well.
